Elizabeth Neel, MD

A North Carolina native, Elizabeth Neel, MD is a board certified pediatrician who has worked in general pediatrics and college health. She spent a 11 years of her career at NC State University working as a staff physician in College Health and then as the Medical Director and worked a great deal with college age students in transition and how ADHD impacted them academically and socially. It is this experience, along with her personal passion for assisting patients and their families in a comprehensive evaluation and treatment model  that led to her opening her own Focus-MD office.  She is committed to providing effective, efficient, personalized care for her patients. Dr. Neel is dedicated to evidence-based medical practices with sensitivity to diverse patient populations.

Dr. Neel completed her undergraduate studies in Biology at Appalachian State University in Boone, NC.  Her medical school training was completed at East Carolina University-School of Medicine (now Brody School of Medicine), in Greenville, NC.  Dr. Neel then completed her pediatric internship and residency with the University of Tennessee in Chattanooga, TN. She has been board certified by the American Board of Pediatrics since 2000.

Dr. Neel and her husband have have two children. In her spare time, Dr. Neel enjoys running and travel.
